Representative Kevin Lundberg Introduces
Colorado House Resolution Supporting the Federal Marriage Amendment
State Rep. Kevin Lundberg, a Republican from Berthoud, has introduced a resolution in the Colorado House of Representatives in support of the Federal Marriage Amendment.
Representative Lundberg said: "This is one of the most significant domestic issues we will be dealing with, on the state and national level. The courts have already set in motion the legal logic that will redefine the family. Our only option is to clearly declare the true meaning of marriage in the United States Constitution. My resolution will begin this discussion at the state level and it will encourage our congressional delegation to complete their role at the Federal level."
Representative Lundberg has 21 co-sponsors in the House. Senator Steve Johnson, the Senate sponsor has 12 co-sposoring senators. The prime sponsors of the Federal Marriage Amendment in Congress are Colorado's Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave in the U.S. House and Colorado's Senator Wayne Allard in the U.S. Senate.
