My Background

Home

My wife Sandy and I live with our three children on a farm near Berthoud. I have owned and operated Lundberg Productions, a media and video production service, for the past 27 years. My BA degree is from Rockmont College in history and social science and I am a third generation Coloradan. I served on the Board of Trustees for Colorado Christian University from 1986-2002, helped found Christian Home Educators of Colorado in 1990, and am active with Galilee Church in Loveland.

I have had a strong interest in government all my adult life, serving as a precinct committeeman, district captain, and campaign volunteer, and was chosen to participate in the Colorado Republican Leadership Program in 2000. I ran for the state senate in 1998 and was narrowly defeated by the incumbent at that time. In January of 2000 Governor Owens appointed me to serve on the Colorado Commission on Family Medicine. In November of 2002 I was first elected to the Colorado House as a Representative for District 49. In January of 2009 I was appointed to the complete the final two years of the current four year term for Senate District 15.

With a deep love for our beautiful state, I have backpacked all across the Colorado Rockies, including a 700 mile trek along the Continental Divide. In 1997 I fulfilled a lifetime dream of building a solar and wind powered home. This innovative design has attracted attention from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and U.S. Senator Wayne Allard, who founded the renewable energy caucus in the U.S. Senate.

In the next several years, I look forward to continuing my service to the constituents of this district.

Awards and Recognitions

It is an honor to be recognized by these fine organizations. Their decisions to give me these special awards reinforces my resolve to always represent the best interests of the people. I will not be swayed by the big government interests that far too often compromises the principles which the people of Colorado expect from all of their elected officials.
